STOCKTON, Calif.—Three men are facing murder and attempted murder charges in a shootout with Stockton police during which another suspect was killed. The Record of Stockton reports http://bit.ly/Mb1a3y that Darold Jarvis and Kevin Ou, both 24, and 19-year-old Darance Leav were arraigned on Wednesday. Authorities say the three along with 27-year-old Joseph Brooks opened fire at a house last week, wounding a 70-year-old woman, before leading law enforcement officials on a high-speed chase that ended in a gun battle when their van spun out. Brooks was shot and killed. Jarvis was shot in the arm. The three defendants are facing a murder charge for allegedly provoking Brooks' death. All three are also facing gang enhancements.
