Man, woman killed in Rancho Cordova shooting

RANCHO CORDOVA, CA - Two people were found dead inside of an apartment in Rancho Cordova Tuesday night. Both victims died of gunshot wounds, Sacramento County sheriff's Deputy Jason Ramos said. The victims were found inside of a unit at the River Pointe Park Apartments on the 2000 block of West La Loma Drive around 9 p.m. An 11-year-old girl was entering the apartment when two men in dark clothing pushed past her. Ramos said the girl fled in the opposite direction, but not before she heard gunshots from inside of the apartment. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a man and a woman, between the ages of 50 and 60, dead inside. Ramos said the relationship between the girl and the victims is unclear. The two shooters are still at-large.
