Authorities Arrest One of Stockton's Most Wanted

Stockton Police have confirmed that one of the city’s most wanted fugitives was arrested Friday afternoon. Dwight Welch, 33, was wanted for shooting his ex-girlfriend multiple times in an incident near Fleetwood Way and Eaglepoint Lane back on March 8. She managed to survive the shooting, but Welch has been on the run ever since. Agents from the U.S. Marshall’s Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force managed to catch up to Welch Friday after getting an anonymous tip. Welch was found and arrested by the task force agents and police near East Worth and Beighle streets.
