Bronx bred Latino rapper Fat Joe, born Joseph Cartagena, pleaded guilty to two counts of evading taxes on $3.7 million dollars of income.
The 42-year-old rapper, known for his work with the late Big Pun, Terror Squad and many others, plead guilty in a federal courthouse in New Jersey.
The rap star admitted that he evaded paying taxes, in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Although he is free currently on $250,000, bail, Fat Joe faces up to two years of jail time when his sentence is delivered in April.
At that time he is also expected to face a $200,000 penalty, as unpaid taxes to the government totaled nearly $718,038, according to U.S. Attorney Paul S. Fishman.
