Who Is DJ Daryl & Where Has He Been???

Daryl L. Anderson, better known by his producer name, DJ Daryl, was born and raised in West Oakland, California. DJ Daryl is an American producer and entrepreneur. DJ Daryl was one of the originators of the group 415, Nu Niggaz On Tha Blokkk, which peaked at number 21 on the Billboard chart, composed of artists Richie Rich and D-Loc, who brought us hits like “The Sideshow and Groupie A** B****”. DJ Daryl also produced Tupac Shakur’s hit single, “Keep Ya Head Up”, on the album Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. which peaked at number 2 on the U.S. Rap chart, number 7 on the Hip Hop/R&B chart and number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song reached platinum status and appears on various albums and in films. He produced other songs for Tupac such as, “Let Them Thangs Go, Nothin But Love, and Black Starry Night” (Interlude) on R U Still Down? (Remember Me) and “Po Nigga Blues” remixed by Scott Storch on album Loyal To The Game.

While signed to No Limit Records he produced various hits: “Don’t Let Go” on the album Da Game Is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told by Snoop Dogg; “Unpredictable” on Unpredictable by Mystical; “Murder” on Silkk - The Shocker; “That’s How We Break Bread” on Tru; “Street Life” on Give it 2 ‘Em Raw; “Life is a B****” on Magic (2) - Skys The Limit; “Ghetto Cheeze” on Tru 2 Da Game; “Tryin 2 Do Something on Ghetto D; “Time For A 187” on Ice Cream Man; “Snitches and Mama Raised Me” both on Da Last Don, and “You Don’t Know Me” on Good Side, Bad Side to name just a few. DJ Daryl has worked with many well-known successful artists such as Keyshia Cole, La Toya London (American Idol), Da Brat, E-40, C-BO and the late Nate Dogg. Some of his other work includes: “My Life Is A Movie, What U Hollerin, Real Street Niggas and Millionaire Gangsta” on Messy Marv’s Draped Up And Chipped Out 2, “On Errythang” on Messy Marv’s Draped Up And Chipped Out 3, “Discourteous, Stop It and Watch Out” on Messy Marv & San Quinn’s Explosive Mode and “Oh No, Pt. 2” on Messy Marv’s Disobayish, several songs for Richie Rich on albums Half Thang, Seasoned Veteran, The Game and Nixon Pryor Roundtree and tracks for Marvaless on albums Ghetto Blues, Wiccked, Fearless and Just Marvaless which earned him creditability as one of the hottest producers in the Bay Area.

He became a platinum star producer, but unfortunately some of the choices he made led to a halt in his career. Frustrated by two failed marriages, poor management and legal representation, he engaged in criminal activity that eventually resulted in a brief period of incarceration. Since then, DJ Daryl has overcome the obstacles and challenges he once faced in his past, and has taken the necessary corrective steps and changed his life for the better. He met and married his best friend and soul mate Amber, who loves and supports him and shares his passion for the entertainment industry. At Bomb Shelter Entertainment, he has a solid business team: Amber Anderson, CEO, Kenneth Mitchell, VP, Darlinetta Howard, Administrative Assistant, Jeremiah Mitchell, Marketing and Sophia Andritsakis, Attorney, allowing him to focus on his creativity without worrying about the details of the business operations. DJ Daryl no longer resides in the Bay Area but will still be working in the hip hop genre. He will be very busy this year, producing an all female compilation titled, “Diva Candy”, creating a clothing line for women and co-executive producing a film that will air on Lifetime Movie Network. He is much wiser, dedicated and determined to fully succeeding in the entertainment industry. Welcome back DJ Daryl!!!
